The seventeenth day of Advent

Wow was it a busy day.  The kind of busy day where you can get in trouble because you get stressed out about being on time and not being killed as you walk around trying to get where you need to be.  See the other post from today.

Today we found out that the Cat in the hat liked Little N's coloring page so much that he decided to color two of the stars.  We weren't sure how Little N would react to Cat in the Hat drawing on his pictures but because Cat in the Hat was neat and not messy about his coloring Little N was happy about finding the Cat in the Hat coloring his manger page.
After our busy day we got home from Little N's singing event and started working on something fun that hopefully would de-stress us all.  We made Marshmallow pops.  The boys had a blast making it and it was simple and easy to make.  We learned what not to do and how to fix the problems also.

Marshmallow Snowmen
Makes one snowman

2 Pocky Sticks
Three Marshmallows (for the body)
1 large orange m&m for the snowman's nose
2 mini m&m's for the eyes
Nutella or frosting for sticking the m&m's on
assorted m&ms for eating and making buttons

Directions
1. Pre-poke the marshmallows with chopsticks so you can slide the pocky sticks in easily
2. Slide the pocky sticks in the marshmallows (both to hold the three marshmallows & to make arms)
3. Decorate using frosting or nutella and m&m's.
4 Taste the frosting and m&m's
5. Eat your snowman creations
Final projects
The boys had a blast with this project.  They enjoyed the chocolate and the m&m's and of course they loved the marshmallows.  It was a great way to end a busy evening.

We finished the day by reading our Scripture Verse - the Boys really like taking off the ring and having Daddy read it as part of their bed time ritual.  Our verse was Isaiah 7:14 – Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will be with child and will give to a son and will call him Immanuel.
