We went to church and I was actually able to sit with John for a change. John took a Sunday off and we went to Triumph West with his brother and mom. Nikolas was a little fussy in the beginning and then he went to sleep and Grandma held him for the rest of the time. After church we had STEAK, yummy!! :-) Afterwards we all went to the HBA (Home builders Association) Home Show. Jim and Linda are looking to build a house so they were looking at the various products and people there. I went there to bring back memories of when I was a kid and used to pass out rulers and various supplies for my dad's business! They had some pretty cool things out for display. After the home show we went to visit John's Grandparents and to hang out with them for a little bit.

We had a baby shower for both Nikolas and Anna. :-) The Erickson's baby shower was full of stories, games, food, conversation and fun. We played a game where we had to race to change a diaper, put on a shirt, jewelry, make dinner and talk on the phone, all at the same time. Let's just say that I lost the game because I had a hard time buttoning the shirt, and putting on a cloth diaper. Martha faired much better than I did! :-) We opened up the presents and Nikolas got some very wonderful clothes, toys, and blankets! It was a great day and Nikolas did really well with all the noise, people & day. After the baby shower the Erickson men came over and we ate food, talked and laughed. One of the younger kids sang us a song that just had us rolling with laughter! It was an awesome day....thanks for all the wonderful gifts and the great time!

Today we went down to Fargo because on Saturday there was going to be a baby shower for Nikolas and Anna. As I was rushing to get ready I put Nikolas in the kitchen (where John was) and put his toy there. When I looked over one time he was grabbing onto the hanging pieces and just staring. It was pretty neat to see how he's changed and grown.
We got to John's parents house and layed Nikolas down for tummy time and he held his head up for at least 5 minutes and was just talking away to his Aunt Rachel and giving her all sorts of different expressions....it was so cute!!

Today we had two things.......John organized a golf day for the guys at the golf course and Caristy went over to the church for a Baby Shower. It was a good time....lots of people there, who were kind enough to hold Nikolas as I opened up presents. Thank you, everyone for the wonderful clothes, toys, books and blankets that Nikolas will get to wear! He will be a very stylish kid! :-)
At the Shower three poems were read! I really liked this one so I'm going to share it with you.
God made the world out of His dreams of magic mountains, oceans and streams, prairies, and plains and wooded lands. Then paused and thought "I need someone to stand on top of mountains, to conquer the seas, explore the plains, and climb the trees. Someone to start out small and to grow, sturdy, strong as a tree..." and so, He created boys, full of spirit and fun, to explore and conquer, to romp and run. With dirty faces and banged up chins, with courageous hearts and boyish grins. When he had completed the task He'd begun He surely said, "A job well done."

Last year at Zion's auction, that they have every year, we bid for a meal at the Mill. We were never able to do it until this week! We went over there and had a great meal. Great food, conversation and visiting! Thanks for such a great time!

Before Caristy's family left Nikolas spent a lot of time with Grandpa. Nikolas liked Grandpa's deep voice! We miss Caristy's Dad and Nikolas' Grandpa! He had fun playing, & holding Nikolas. He also had fun working on different projects around our house. Thanks Dad for everything you did!

Nikolas had a special moment today! He was baptized by his Great Uncle Matt. It was a very special time in his life. He had all of his great grandparents there, all his grandparents, and both of his Uncles. He was a great little guy didn't even flinch, cry, or do really anything as Great Uncle Matt put water on his head. It was a good day of being with family and celebrating.

Rich came out for Nikolas' baptism, so we drove down to Fargo to pick up both Tante B and Rich. While we were in Fargo we did some shopping.....picking up food, supplies, and clothes for Nikolas. It was a really good day because Nikolas did a good job, he didn't really fuss and was very intrigued by his Uncle Rich. When we got back to Cooperstown, Dad and Rich worked on some various projects around our house.
