Confirmation Sunday!!

It was our church's confirmation Sunday. John had 8 students confirmed on Sunday. For the most part the students lead the service and John did the message. Afterwards we had a potluck dinner in the basement. It was a great Sunday. Beautiful and Sunny. After Church and the potluck we were invited to 4 different houses to celebrate with John's students. It was a fun day!!

P.S. Sorry but no pics of John preaching.

So this is LOVE....

I was asked if I wanted to go walk the golf course while John golfed. I was very tempted to try and golf, but after one of my friends told me that she tried to golf when she was pregnant and ended up with a pulled stomach muscle....I decided that walking would be the best. Brought the camera along so that I could take pictures and at least have fun that way. Started to take a picture but sadly the memory card was missing. John had used to and forgot to put it in. So I walked 6 holes with him and then decided that I wanted to just sit in the car and enjoy the sunshine. What love!!

More Assembly Required! :-)

We have assembled two out of the three items that we ordered. :-) Last night and today we tackled the baby dresser. So far we have assembled the changer, and the dresser. We wanted to put together the crib but I think we have to assemble that in the baby's room. The dresser turned out pretty nice. Here are the pictures!

P.S. Caristy helped too!! John just didn't take any pictures of her helping.

DI Regionals!

I have been working with 7 kids since January on something called Destination Imagination. Our group choose to do DI: CSI (crime scene investigation and color, shadow and illumination) They chose to do a CSI type who done it in Ancient Egypt. The Pharaoh's cats got stolen and they had to figure out who did. They did a great job!! Sadly their gadget that would help illuminate clues didn't work but they worked through it and did a great great job. I was so proud and I think that the baby knew what was going on because he kicked me whenever they were finished and it had been a great job. After their performance!!

They also had to do something called an instant challenge. Basically you are given information, time to think about the project and then you have to work together to solve the challenge before the time is up. I can't tell you what the challenge was but they were so good at it!! It was the best that I had ever seen them working together and sharing and cooperating together to get something done!! Afterwards they were allowed to do a TADA and so I have pictures of that but not of the instant challenge. They were running off adrenaline!! It was fun to watch them and cheer them on.

We placed 3rd!! Which was great.....I am very proud of my team and glad that we were able to have some fun.

Baby's first pictures

So we had our first ultrasound of our baby on Friday! Everything is looking good. The ultrasound tech gave us three pretty cool shots. He couldn't get a profile shot or a good whole body shot but we have a really sweet spine, holding hands and foot shot. We might have to go back and get another ultrasound because the baby was so low so the tech couldn't get measurements of the brain but that just depends on what the Dr. says! We will see maybe we will get more cute pictures of the baby!

Mom, The Curtains are up!

Mom (Caristy's) made us some curtains for some rooms in our house. One for one of our bathrooms, our kitchen, and my office. I was able to put up two of them. The one in my bathroom and kitchen. (Once the carpet is fixed downstairs I'll be able to put up the curtain in my office. That one is my favorite curtain!!) Thanks MOM!! We love you!! The bathroom curtain!

Easter Dinner!

We drove down to Fargo to celebrate Easter with John's family! We had so much fun. We played Killer Bunnies (don't worry no bunnies were killed.....but it was sure fun). Then walked to Grandpa's house for dinner and talking. Walked back to John's parents house where we got to play Apples to Apples. It was a nice Easter, to visit and be with family.

Easter Service

For Easter Sunday Service, we had little kids singing songs and saying scripture, Sunday School singing and a Play from some kids. The play took place in Ancient times and was about what if there was a news paper around during the time of Jesus arrest, death on the cross and resurrection. How would it be handled and the interviews with people. PLUS John preaching! It was a great time of celebrating and reflecting on what Easter is about.

Easter Morning Breakfast!

Our church (Sunday school) had a breakfast, Easter Morning, with rolls, fruit and juice. We had the some of the older grades helping serve and make sure everyone had enough. I think that everyone did a good job... setting up, serving, eating and cleaning up!

Assembly Required! :-)

The furniture that we ordered for the baby came in. We got a changer, a dresser and a crib. It all came over the weekend and was delievered to our neighbors because we were gone. John got it on Monday and brought it all to our house. We decided to tackle the changer tonight. It was pretty easy to assemble...quick and easy! (We didn't even fight!)

Rachel has been talking about how much her son and John look a like and so I've decided to put up a picture for everyone to decide. . :-)

OH NO!!!

John comes home from Carrington and goes down to the basement to discover that there is WATER in our basement. Our SUMP PUMP decided that it didn't want to work and the hose sprung a leak and then got clogged up somewhere along the hose line. :-/ BUT....thankfully we have a new sump pump that works and we are working on drying our carpets out and making sure we get no mold! Hopefully it will all work out and it's not to much work and damage! Thanks to everyone who came and helped us either figure out what to do or helped rip out the wet carpet!

Welcome to our blog! We try to keep this current for family and friends. We moved to Taiwan in February 2011 and are trying to keep in contact with loved ones through this blog. We love comments and will respond back if you have questions or comments!! Thanks for checking us out!!
