More Memorial Day Fun!

Memorial Day fun!  It was wonderful to be all together as a family!  Watching the kids play all together.  Eating the delicous camp food and just being able to relax!  Watching in shock as Ingrid hulu hooped and tried to explain how to do it.  (Don't move your hips or really move and the hulu hoop will just go!)  No idea how she did it! But wow!!!!!!!  Thanks for a fun weekend! :-)

Family Fun at Camp

John's parents (well his dad) had a big reunion for Hillcrest so over the weekend they stayed over at Inspiration Point bible camp.  On Saturday John's siblings came to camp and stayed over night.  We left right after church on Sunday to head out to camp to join in the fun.  We had so much fun playing with the kids, visiting with people and just sort of trying to relax.  Little N loved Uncle Ole's birthday present to Daniel (a bat, ball & a tee.....maybe that's what it's called I don't remember) and he also LOVED the merry go round (it's not like a merry go round but it is....SO confusing!)

The morning after the camping trip!

Last night Little N & John went into the tent to have a camp out.  They slept right outside my bedroom window so I could hear Little N jabbering.  John gave Little N for the first time glow sticks right before they were supposed to go to bed.  When I went to bed at 10:30 pm I could hear Little N asking John all sorts of questions. "Where's my water?, What's that sounds?, and What's that?"  Finally at 12:30 am.....John brought Little N because as John said Little N was poking him with the glow sticks and just spinning the glow sticks around just staring at them.  So they didn't camp out the whole night outside. :-)  Maybe the next time things will go a little bit better!

Yesterday John set up the tent in our backyard.  He had planned on camping with Little N that night but we had unexpected visitors and to much fun was had by all so the camping was postponed.  Today we weren't even sure if there was gonna be camping.  We are struggling with getting Little N to eat what WE want him to eat.  So the deal was if he ate (1 carrot shred, 1 potatoe, 1 - 1/2 cherry, & some chicken) he could go outside to play.  Well he refused to eat the carrot shred & the Little M & Caristy went for a walk.  Then later on I held Little N in my arms and put the carrot shred & potatoe in his mouth & he finally ate we could go on a bike ride & Little N could be outside (Little N LOVES to be outside & so it was a VERY good incentive to eat his food so he could go outside).  Later on we got ready for bed and Little N and John went into the tent.  Little N was SO excited (kind of wondering if he'll go to sleep) & Little M was quite upset that he wasn't sleeping with the boys!  In other related Little M news.....Little M can sit up.....yup....he pulls himself up from a laying down postition and sits up all by himself.....I'm very interested in seeing how he does it but he seems to like to do it all by himself (alone with no watchers)!! Anyways we will let you know how the camp out went!

Poor Little M

So I kind of feel bad for posting these pictures.  I feel like I am exposing a side of Little M that should be kept private and secret but John & I just laugh and laugh when we look at these pictures so we just HAVE to share them.  With Little M starting on solid foods more and more things have just gotten a little bit more smelly in the diaper changes.  Here are a couple of pictures of Little should I put this delicately......ummmm.....well I'll just leave it to your imaginations!  Enjoy!!!

Today was our high school graduation. We had 4 kids that we have gotten to know and come to love graduate high school and begin their journey of being an adult.  As we attended all the graduation parties I was reminded at how far they have come and how much they have changed in the almost 4 years we have been here.  Congratulations to our graduates.  May they have a fresh and sparkling start!  We love you and are praying for you guys!!

A windy Saturday

We had an extremely windy day!  Perfect for trying to fly a kite!  Little N loved flying his kite that he got from his buddy in Cooperstown.  I think John also liked flying and running around with the kite!  :-)

We went to a baseball game.  Little N was so excited to watch the game.  Little M enjoyed playing with other people!! ;-)  Our team lost but they played hard!

Outdoor fun

So Little M has the cutest squished face.....I tried to capture it on film but it just look painful rather than adorable.  Normally when I do it he gives a big gummy smiley & his eyes are all wide open & smiley!  I guess we will have to try it again.  We have brought out our pool for the "summer" time.  Little N has decided that the pool is perfect for dunking his head in the water!  He told me to take a picture of him.  So silly!!!

Confirmation Sunday

For our church it was confirmation sunday.  This year we only had one student being confirmed.  She did a great job....having to deal with Pastor John for 3 years! :-)  I've had the opportunity to be around her since we've moved here.  She had a part with DI (destination imagination), I knew her brother, became friends with her mom and she's baby sat my kids (once or twice).  It was a good day celebrating her accomplishment.  This is not a graduation but just the beginnning of her walk with the Lord.  We are praying for you!
Micah 6:8 - But he's already made it plain how to live, what to do, what God is looking for in men and women. It's quite simple: Do what is fair and just to your neighbor, be compassionate and loyal in your love, And don't take yourself too seriously— take God seriously. (The Message)

Cousin Fun

We went to a free PBS book event with Little N & M's cousins.  It was fun to watch the kids interact with each other.  Little N was SO excited to see everyone.  He then decided that he was gonna hold on to R hand.  SO adorable....we just stared and watched as these two kiddos walked hand and hand.  It was also a great day because Little N got to go in a firetruck, and spray a firehose!  What a fun day!

Best Friends

Little M & Little E are born a day a part from each other.  Little E is older.  When we go out East it's so fun for me to watch these two boys grow and change.  They are basically at the same stages so it's funny just to see how different they both are.  Little E while we were visiting decided to have his top two teeth break through.  It was crazy!  The boys both loved to sit and are both trying SO hard to crawl.
