Easter Sunday

He is Risen!!  He is Risen indeed!!  Easter Sunday we went to church and after church went to TGI Fridays with some friends to celebrate Easter.  It seemed so strange to go to a restaurant to celebrate Easter.  We have been able to be with John's family for almost every single Easter celebration since we've been married.  I missed spending time with family.  After lunch we rushed home so we could drop off our kids so that we could go to a funeral.
About a week ago we found out that a little girl (2 1/2 years old) died suddenly.  We have no real explaination of why she died.  On Wednesday morning she was fine and by Thursday morning the sweet little girl had died.  The family decided that they would have the memorial service on Easter Sunday.
The memorial service was a sweet service but probably one of the hardest services I have been to.  The  hardest person to listen to was the Chinese Grandpa.  He was not a Christian and he was so devastated -- unsure where his granddaughter was and if she was terrified trying to navigate through afterlife.  So hard to listen to and just made me realize that lots of people believe the same way he does all over the world.  Made me realize what our responsiblity as Christians are here on earth.
