VBS Closing Program
We had our closing program. We provided hamburger and hotdogs and asked that everyone bring a side dish to share. We had a nice turn out the weather was gorgeous and lots of good conversations. Then the kids did what they do best....performed. Little N wanted to be in part of the action too....so he would go sit by daddy or try to stand by the kids to clap with them. He's my little performer I guess (he's got the rhythm though....so that's good....he clapped with the music and didn't get off). Our service project was many fold but our main one was Operation Christmas Child. We made 24 boxes this week....kids got to earn Bayou bucks (if someone was kind, helpful or went out of their way to serve someone else they got a Bayou buck which they could then use at the "Operation Christmas Child Store" to get stuff for the box.) It's amazing how giving kids are and just how thoughtful they can be! Till next year!!
