August Monthly Challenge - Motion Blur

This month has been pure chaos.  I almost get caught up on my blog and life and then things get in the way.  Sigh....hoping September slows down some soon.  I can't wait to have time to take pictures and read books and just slow down some.  Anyways, sorry about that!  This month's challenge was about motion blur, which is hard because you have to be very intentional about what your stuff looks like because sometimes your pictures look like an accident even though you meant for it to be on purpose.  I had lots of fun this month because we were in Matsu islands for a week in August and we were right by the ocean and I decided to attempt to get some motion blur both in the water and in the trees.  I wasn't as successful in my vision as I had hoped to be (mostly because I didn't want to take my camera out in a "typhoon") but as we were flying home from Matsu islands back to Taiwan we were one a propeller type airplane and I was able to get the motion from the blades as they were moving in the sky.  It was pretty neat and very fun!
Please continue through this blog circle to see how others have looked at shooting with a mobile device from some of the most amazing women, I have been so privileged to  know on this year journey.  Starting withGina, I know that you will enjoy her post.

  1. I love seeing the perspective from the sky. Including the blurred propeller really adds to the composition. Hope you had a fun week! I can really relate to hoping things slow down, life feels like a "blur" right now.
