Marketplace for Kids
Ambulance: Transportation Class, always where your seat belt
With the Summer Program, they do something called Marketplace for kids. The kids create and design a business that they come up with. Then they have to "advertise their product" some kids had a dog walking business, a hover craft, hair, jewelry business. caricatures, hats that have ice packs inside to keep you cool, etc. Then they present it and explain to other people. Everyone gets a ribbon. They also attend classes through out the day. My little group of k-2 graders got to go to don't mess with meth class, a summer safety food class, transportation jobs, and all about butterflies. We had fun and we also learned to make sure that our seat belts were always buckled.
