Since living in Taiwan we have been invited and included to a handful of weddings but this seems to be the year of weddings. We have been invited to three weddings this year. This was our first wedding of this year. John got to go on a mission trip with Brandon and Candy used to attend and help out at VEF. Little H was so excited to see Candy in her bridal dress. She was also thrilled to see a wedding up close and personal! It was a beautiful wedding and we were happy we could go.

I attend a Wednesday Bible study and I really appreciate this group of ladies. I can bonus ideas off them, they take me to nice new restaurants and of course I love being able to discuss the bible with them.
In our bible study group there are two of us expecting babies...almost 4 weeks apart from each other. So we had a baby shower and just celebrated life. I am so blessed with these ladies. 😊

I'm so thankful that I have a friend who's daughter is in the same class as my daughter. I find out all sorts of information which was the plan that the school hoped would happen. I found out over the weekend that Little H's class had a field trip to the rice field and I was able to ask the principal if I could go on the field trip with the school and I also had to ask if N could come along because of course, he's with me all the time. The school said yes and I was happy. My friend joined me and we drove to the rice fields and then got to be with our girls for their field trip.
The Cherry Blossoms are blooming here in Taiwan and they are so pretty!!
Little H was so proud of her muddy feet along with her cute tutu skirt. After this picture was taken she went back into the rice paddy to try to plant another rice plant.
N loved being able to walk in the mud and was so happy that he could be a part of Little H's field Trip!

I had a surprise baby shower from sweet friends today. John told me that he had to go to the hospital and then we would head out for brunch. So the kids played games while I took a shower and got ready to go. John has been proactive recently about trying to get out as a family on Saturday and he told me that he found a new brunch place for us to try and so I thought nothing was out of the ordinary. Then as we were driving at every stop light John was on his phone setting up a schedule for our friend who was in the hospital. One of the people who said that they could help visit and help out was a friend who had just returned from the US and had gotten us gas drops for the baby. So John told me that we had to go over to their house to get the gas drops because it was close to the brunch place. I was a little bit annoyed because I was starving by that point but figured it would be nice to see my friend because I haven't seen her in a while.
We got up to her apartment and I went inside her apartment and I basically stepped back because I felt horrible because I was interrupting an event at my friend's house. Then as I looked around I saw that the people were people I knew and loved dearly. They all shouted to me surprise and told me that I was having a baby shower. It was the sweetest surprise I had! The best thing was that there was so much yummy food and I could eat food and visit with all my friends.
I am SO thankful for all the people who came and celebrated with our family. We are so thankful for everyone in our life who is celebrating this sweet new little life that will be joining our family soon.
After the baby shower we headed over to the rope park and the kids had a blast playing with other kids and climbing!

I got a phone call shortly after I got home from the ladies retreat and one of my friends asked if she could take N on a field trip up to Taipei to look at the National Palace Museum and also a couple of other places up in Taipei. N went with my friend and then another girl who was visiting my friend. I think my friend thought I was gonna be gone for the whole week at the retreat so she was thinking that she would help John out by taking N so that way John could get some work done. N was gone from 8:30 am till 11 pm. He had fun but was tired. N and the girl had fun and I got to hear how N was not the head dog in the group because this girl was 15 years olds. It was fun to hear all about this.

Our ladies retreat was a very refreshing retreat! I am thankful for the time that the speaker spent sharing with us and coming over to Taiwan to be with us. I pray that the rest of her time in Asia would go smoothly. I also pray for each one of these ladies. I am pretty sure that I have had the opportunity to go to 5 of the TMF ladies retreat and the thing that constantly encourages me is listening to and spending time with these ladies who are all serving Christ in different areas all over Taiwan. Spending time with some of my sweet friends and chatting with them into the night also helps me. I am thankful to John for doing my schedule plus his schedule so that I was able to attend this three day retreat. He's an amazing guy!!

It was a cold and rainy day. Instead of going for a walk or going to the hot spring (spa -- which the ladies looked at me and told me I wouldn't be able to the hot spring spa because of being pregnant.) So I asked where we were staying if I could get my first massage and asked if they could focus on my lower back which is what hurt the most. I wasn't exactly sure what to expect from a massage because it was my first massage. They had me shower, then I got dressed and then a lady spoke to me and told me what to do. It was very relaxing and I felt it was SO long but it was so relaxing. She did such a great job! Afterwards I got dressed and I had NO back pain for about 15 minutes then the pain that I had from my sciatic nerve came back but it was nice not to be in constant pain in my back.
These sweet ladies knitting and chit chatting the afternoon away! Thankful for their Godly witness in my life.

Today was a busy day. The morning we went to a funeral for a friend's dad. Then we went out to eat at Chubby's. After we had eaten we headed over to the rope park. This park is very interesting in that our kids play with other kids a lot more. Normally the other kids don't interact with my kids. But at the rope park the kids are willing to try to speak English to the kids (saying hi) and then my kids have been willing to play with the other kids in Chinese. Running around and playing with the kids is fun to watch because it doesn't happen very often.
Little H climbing up as HIGH she is able to on the rope park.
Little M climbing the rope park and playing frisbee.
N always climbing to the tippy top of the rope park and then running around the kite.
The kids playing soccer! 😎

Our memory verse for March is just a good remember that we don't have to worry about what we will eat or what we will drink. We don't need to worry about tomorrow because every day has enough trouble of its own.
This is such an important for me to remember because I tend to worry about what's gonna happen on the next day, or the next week, or the next month. I have the hardest time remembering that I just need to dwell in today's worries.
