Da Boys

How do moms with more males than females do it? The running, the playing with balls and just doing manly stuff. What about playing with jewelry, dressing up, wearing make up? Here are my boys! (Yeah, you can really see the family resemblance between K and John!!) I think Little N will be very sad once K leaves because they have been getting along like two peas in a pod. I think Little N will be wandering around after this week just trying to figure out what happened!

Thank Goodness for Trains

K is staying with us. We don't have alot of big kid toys, but for Christmas Little N got train sets. So K has been playing and having a blast building and then destroying and then building different train tracks. It's been fun!! :-)

The Flooding of the Sheyenne River Valley!

So Cooperstown is now in the flood danger watch. The town is safe from danger but along the countryside near the Sheyenne is in danger of losing homes. I've never seen the waters so high. My favorite bridge is almost underwater (last picture) and alot of these pictures with water there are usually fields. So it's crazy!

Prom 2009

So Cooperstown had it's prom. They had a grand march so everyone could see dresses and ohh and ahh. Can you tell by the description that it was just Caristy that went. John I doubt would have been able to handle it. But we had so much fun watching people walk by and taking pictures. The one thing I found odd was how early Prom was. Then again I also find it odd that people get out of school so early too! :-)

The Red River and a visitor

Mom these pictures are for you! Remember when we drove on 94 and we got to see the pictures of the Red River. Well here are pictures from today. The river is high and the tree are covered in water. It's just crazy. We also took home with us a visitor. We get to have K for the week! We should have a great week!!

HIT weekend

In between the madness of the flood we got to go down to Fergus to watch our two teams play in the Hit Tournament. Our younger team won the championship for their division. :-) The older team had a great time playing. We are guessing that next year Cooperstown will have to bring three teams instead of two teams. We had a great time visiting and talking with people we don't see often.

Happy Birthday Emily

Happy Birthday Em! I'm so glad that you were able to come down for Hit's with us!! We love you!!

More Flood Photos

John did some more help with sandbagging and helping with the flood! We've heard good news in the fact that the water is slowing down so the crest won't necessarily be as high. The house with a homemade dike around it is right across from John's parents. So far there haven't been to many concerns but the builder is concerned because he hasn't had the house sold so he's trying to protect that. Pray for the leaders of Fargo and Moorhead and also for the residents! Just pray that people would be safe and that the casualties would be a minimum. If you want to check and see how everything is going for the Fargo area go to www.cityoffargo.com/Flood09 or www.inforum.com.

A break from the flood -- Little N

We stayed at John's parents house last night. So today Little N has been playing with his cousins and Great Grandpa.

Sandbagging

John went to help the sandbagging effort both on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. (We went back up to make sure everything in our house was okay on Wednesday but went back down on Thursday). The people of Fargo and Moorhead and the surrounding areas have been so generous. Volunteering with sandbagging, food and helping perfect strangers during this stressful time. Thursday we found out that the Red River went past where the water was back in '97. By Sunday it's supposed crest between 42 or 43 feet. I'm hoping as we drive to Fergus that I'll be able to take pictures of what's going on with the river! The thing I'm most impressed with is how everyone has been rallying around each other to help! I love it!!
